(d). The Government to accept liability for any dansge

caused to the building know as "Taikoo Terrace" and the block to eastward of the same by the execution of the cutting required in connection with the forma- -tim of the road indicated on plan.

(e). The Government to carry out at its own expense the

reclamation of the aree coloured red and to protect the same on the south-east, north-east and north- -west sides by a rubble mound, faced with a pitched slope set in cement concrete and jointed with cement mortar. The said reclamation to be completed and handed over, free of cost, to the lessees of Quarry Bay Marine Lot 1 and Quarry Bay Inland Lots 2, 7 and 8 by a date to be mutually arranged. The work of reclaiming and protecting the said area to be execut- -ed to the satisfaction of the anid lessees. All liability on the part of the Government in connect- -ion with such reclamation to cease from the date of handing over the said area to the said lessees. The area of 155,320 square feet to be exclusive of the pitched slopes.

(f). The lessees of Quarry Bay Marine Lot 1 to remove the

whole of the buildings on the area cross-hatched in yellow to the north-westward of the entrance gate to the Sugar Refinery by a date to be mutually arranged and to surrender to Government by the said date the whole of the ares cross-hatched in yellow free mnd unobstructed and free of cost for the purpose of widening the existing road.

(g). The Crow rents of Quarry Bay Inland Lots 7 and 8

to be re-adjusted in proportion to the reduction in area resulting from the surrender of the areas cross-hatched in blue and red respectively. Such
